Players’ sentiments used to diverge, but it's the markets' turn now

Uncertainty remains as weeks pass by. Sentiments from buyers and sellers are not the only aspect diverging anymore, as products are now showing different trends. Whey proteins and SMP are revealing some signs of weakness with higher availability and lower prices, whilst cream and butter are still in high demand, proving to be the more stable products–for now.

As a result, buyers in the weaker dairy markets are continuing their “wait-and-see” approach, while the more stable markets are seeing buyers become more nervous due to continuously high prices. The upcoming weeks will be crucial: will market trends continue to diverge or converge again? And most of all: in which direction?
